Chef Idalia, AKA the Goddess of Goodies, did two pop-ups with us last year, drawing over 40 of her followers + dozens of Stage & Table members and their invited guests. One of our highlights of 2018 was her Mexicali menu in October when she paired her dishes with a guided tasting and craft cocktails by Casa Mexico Tequila.
More recently, to kick off 2019, Chef Idalia returned to showcase her signature Puerto Rican flavors welcoming guests with Yucca con Mojo then presenting Arroz con Gandules; Mofongo (vegan), Mofongo con camarones, and roasted pork shoulder for dinner. To complete the Caribbean theme, we brought in Real McCoy rum for a tasting an interactive cocktail station.
Ryan Rondeno took over our kitchen to craft a creole menu showcasing his brand of high end comfort dining. To kick off the evening, he presented smoked tomato crostini and pickled shallots for our 40+ attendees. His mains were shrimp & grits + his phenomenal chicken and sausage gumbo. Finally, for dessert, Chef Ryan invited guests into the kitchen to help him fry up fresh made beignets with powdered sugar.
In addition to hosting the dinner party, Chef Ryan took advantage of being in our stunning space by bringing in a small film crew to capture his craft and then produce a beautiful 45-second promo video for him.
